AISI 309S is an austenitic stainless steel. Differs in heat resistance and heat resistance. Intensive scale formation occurs 

at a temperature of 1050℃. Essentially, the 309S steel grade is almost identical to AISI 309, except for the lower carbon 

content, which minimizes carbide deposition and improves weldability. AISI 309 S is more resistant to maritime weather 

than AISI 304.

The high content of chromium and nickel in the composition provides the 309S steel grade with high strength at high 

temperatures, and also provides Inox 309S with excellent oxidation resistance.

Scope of application

AISI 309S stainless steel, due to its good ductility, excellent weldability and high resistance to acids and sulfite 

alkalis, has found wide application:

in the chemical, oil and gas and mining industries;

in metallurgy;

in the production of resistance heating elements;

in the manufacture of parts for operation at elevated temperatures in a lightly loaded state 

(pipes for methane pyrolysis, pyrometric tubes);

in the manufacture of parts for furnace conveyors and furnace fittings;

Cold working: 309S steel is ductile and can be easily formed by stretching, bending, deep drawing and rotary drawing.
