AISI 316Ti is an authentic stainless steel. In principle, this is a version of AISI 316 steel with the addition of titanium.
Differs in high resistance to a sensitization during a long time at a temperature of 550 - 800℃ . It is used where the
main requirement is high corrosion resistance in conditions of increased aggressiveness.

Scope of application :
AISI 316Ti stainless steel, due to its heat resistance, resistance to corrosion and aggressive environments, is used:
in the chemical, oil and gas industry;
in the manufacture of food tanks, tapes, pipelines;
in medicine and pharmaceuticals;
in power engineering, pulp and paper production and production of cutting equipment;
in the manufacture of heat exchangers, turbine blades, machine parts and compressors;
in construction and design (organization of structures);
in the manufacture of apparatus and vessels for working with acids.
Welding :
Stainless steel 316 Ti / SS 316 Ti is easy to weld with standard methods. After welding, heat treatment is not needed,
and the seam should be cleaned of scale and passivated.
Treatment :
Annealing: at a temperature of 1050-1075℃; cooling - in air or in water.
Vacation: at a temperature of 200 to 400℃
Passivation: 20-25% HNO3 solution at 20℃.
Surface cleaning: solution of nitric acid and hydrofluoric/hydrofluoric acid in proportions: 10% HNO3 + 2% HF at room
temperature or 60℃. Sulfuric acid solution in proportions: 10% H2SO4 + 0.5% HNO3) at 60℃.
Cold working: 316Ti steel is ductile and can be easily formed by bending, drawing, contour forming, rotary drawing, etc.
